Obituary of Henry Mack Layman

    Henry Mack Layman, Jr., 82 of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at his home. He was the husband to Kay Campbell Layman.

    Born October 27, 1940, in Buchanan, VA. He was the son of the late Henry Mack Layman, Sr. and Madeline Steele Layman. He was retired from automotive mechanics and of the Presbyterian faith. He was also an Air Force veteran.

    In addition to his wife, Kay, he is survived by three sons, Steven M. Layman (Christine) of Doniphan, MO, Brian J. Layman (Amy), Eric C. Layman, both of Augusta, GA; one daughter, Jacquelyn S. Layman of St. Paul, MN; one sister, Elizabeth Sue Watts of Buchanan, VA; seven grandchildren, Trevor Layman, Jacob Layman, Laura-Kay Layman, Taylor Layman, Jamie Layman, Christopher Layman and Melissa Stambaugh; six great-grandchildren; two nieces, Karen Craig (Spru) and Pamela Austin (Mark).

   A graveside interment will take place at a later date in Buchanan at Fairview Cemetery. Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, 434-237-2722, is serving the family.
