John Russell Trent

John, “Rusty,” Russell Trent, passed away on October 6, 2022.

Rusty was born to the late Ronald and Ella Trent on June 21, 1962, in Lynchburg, Va.  He is survived by his three siblings, Susan Wood (Dale), Steve Trent (Vicky), Jack Trent (Pam); his nephew, four nieces and their families.

After graduating from Brookville High School, Rusty worked for many years at Progress Printing and then R.R. Donnelly.  When he wasn’t working, Rusty enjoyed flying model helicopters, riding his motorcycle, and trips to Myrtle Beach, SC with his beloved family. Known for his technical skills, Rusty was always willing to help others with their electronics or putting together that Christmas gift that no one else could figure out.

There will be a private burial at Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg, Va., on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
