Obituary of Thomas Edward McBride

Thomas “Tec” Edward McBride, 66, of Altavista, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at his home after an extended illness. He was the husband of the late Lisa Millner McBride.

Born on May 28, 1955, in Lynchburg, he was the son of Edwin "Buzzy" Lewis McBride and the late Jean Bryant McBride.

He was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church and was as a retired Optician. He was an avid reader and interested in history and science.

He is also survived by one son, Edwin Thomas McBride and girlfriend, Anna Lawhorne; and two sisters, Stefani M. Martin (Earl) and Cathy M. Hantoot (David).

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel.
