Obituary of Paul Richard Keys, Sr.

    Paul Richard Keys, Sr., 81, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his home after an extended illness. He was the husband of the late Betty Jean McFaden Keys.

    Born August 27, 1940, in Bedford County; he was a son of the late John Stanley and Clara Marshall Keys. Paul was retired from A.E.P. after over 50 years where he served as a “right of way” agent. He was a member of Boonsboro United Methodist Church and served our country in the Virginia Army National Guard for many years. Paul love to play golf and deer hunt. He loved his boys (Paul Jr. and Brian) and grandchildren.He is survived by his two sons, Paul R. Keys Jr. (Kathy) and Brian E. Keys; five grandchildren, Dakota Brian Keys, Lauren Ashley Keys, Taylor Danielle Keys, Braelyn Grayce Keys and Asheton Blake Craft; numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Hugh Keys and Betty Keys.

   A graveside service will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in Fort Hill memorial Park with the Rev. Dan G. Mason and Rev. Bill Dawson officiating.
