Obituary of Carol D. Penny

Carol deBrito Penny, 76, of Lynchburg, passed on Saturday April 3, 2021, at Noah’s Landing Senior Residential Care Home.

Born to William H. and Ellen B. deBrito, the oldest of three daughters in Norfolk, VA., October 21, 1944. She was also predeceased by husband, Donald W. Penny Sr. and daughter, Ann (Toddie) Sharman.

Surviving are sisters Susan Wright, Beth Lohela; children Shari Martin, D. Wayne Penny Jr., Kim C. Banton (Philip). Grandchildren are Trey Stone (Emily), Jared Stone, Julie Wade, Jessica Martin, Lindsey (Lindsay Pritchard), Mallory (Alvaro Sarlo), and Jamie Sharman, Will Lowther, Emily (Dustin) Strandridge, Abigail (Caleb) Gartmann, Dustin Penny. Great grandchildren Donovan and Lucas Martin, Penelope Morton, and Layla Stone.

Her fur babies consist of Winn Dixie and Breezy. We wish a special thanks to Danny and Cindy Torrence at All-American Mutt Rescue for giving Winn Dixie and Breezy a home.
