Obituary of Allen Dale Davis

Allen Dale Davis, 88, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Ann Sullivan Davis.

Born June 6, 1932 in Luxora, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Marvin Green and Mary Davis. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and retired from the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He received four_Purple Hearts for his heroic service to our country. He served in both Korea and Vietnam.

In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by one son, Richard Allen Davis (Binh) of New Jersey; one daughter, Nancy Ann Davis of Evington, VA; two sisters, Oma Lee Cullum of FL and Alice Ruth Goyette of MA; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with Rev. Dr. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
