Obituary of Elizabeth Davis

Elizabeth Campbell Davis, 83, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Runk and Pratt.

Born July 3, 1937 in Amherst County, she was a daughter of Zephaniah Paulie and Mattie Frances Mays Campbell. She was a dress maker with Lynchburg Manufacturing and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She loved to sew and work with the youth at Pleasant View. She also loved music and her flowers. Most of all, she loved the Lord and walked with him daily. She adored her grand-children and great-grandchildren and was known as “Nanny” to them and so many others.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy D. Wood and her son, Steven D. Davis; two brothers, Tommy Campbell (Sadie) and Vernon Campbell (Shirley); one sister, Mary Ann Trent (Ed); three grandchildren, Lisa Fusco (Tom), Tracy Letzerich (Jeff) and Abigail Davis; five great-grandchildren, Kiersten Grant (Mason), Angelina Fusco, Caleb Fusco, Aiden Letzerich, Henry Letzerich; two step-great grandchildren, Justin and Ethan Werner; numerous nieces and nephews including a special great niece, Amanda and a very special and loving friend, Collette Vance.

She was predeceased by one brother, Junior Campbell and  three sisters, Frances Williams, Marie Fitzgerald and Ellie Campbell.

A private graveside service will be held at Virginia Memorial Park at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 14, with Pastor Ricky Ewing officiating.
