Raimund Kreuziger

Obituary of Raimund Kreuziger

On Thursday, December 31st, 2020, Raimund Kreuziger, of Madison Heights, passed away peacefully at the age of 84.

Raimund was born on March 10th, 1936 in Germany. Though he faced quite a few hard times while growing up in Germany, he was able to obtain a machining apprenticeship before making his way to the U.S.  He always thought very highly of his home country, visiting Germany multiple times and always speaking of fond memories of the time spent there.

After arriving to the U.S., Raimund joined the U.S. Navy, where he served as a machinist for four years.  He later married his wife, Frances Grasson, and had six wonderful children. In the early 1980’s, he moved his family to Amherst, where he started his own business, Amherst Tool and Die.

Raimund was kind, gentle, classical, and intelligent.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was also an incredible mentor, artist, singer/soloist, friend, companion, and dedicated worker.

Most importantly, Raimund had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Though his earthly life has ended, he will forever be in Paradise with his Savior.  Raimund’s wish would be for all mankind to find that same relationship with Jesus, and come to know Him as their Savior.

Raimund is preceded in death by his wife, Frances.  He is survived by his children William (Christy), Roland (Lynette), Charlotte (Kevin), Catherine (Andy), Raymond (Tammy), and Christine (George), as well as 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held for immediate family.
