Obituary of James Walter Thompson

James Walter Thompson loved music, motorcycles and Nascar. He was a devoted father and a hard worker that rarely missed work. Jimmy was an optician for over 35 years and changed the lives of many through his work. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and his pets. He was one of a kind, smart, compassionate, honest and trustworthy. He will forever be greatly missed

 

Born Sunday October 6th 1957 and passed on Sunday November 29th at 4:51PM peacefully in his home. Jimmy was a son of late William Colbert Thompson Sr and Mary Bird Rogers Thompson

 

Those left to cherish his memories forever are his 2 daughters, Chelsea Lynn Thompson and fiancé Robert Smith of Lynchburg, Cameron Thompson Judd and husband Stephen Judd of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Aiden Colbert Judd and Conner Wilson Edward Judd; a sister Judith Thompson Rabineau and late husband Stanley of South Carolina, a brother William Colbert Thompson and wife Doris of Georgia; uncle James Thompson Rogers and Wife Mary of Lynchburg and his faithful dog Susie Q 

 

Family will be holding a wake in honor of his memory and celebration of his life. Honoring his wishes, Jimmy was cremated.
