Sorry for the loss of Ms. Smallwood. The loss of our loved ones in death is one of the worst things that we experience in this world. Having weak moments and grieving is common and important. Even our savior Jesus Christ felt this pain when he was on earth. Although Jesus held the God given power to bring Lazarus back to life, he wept because he empathized with the pain that we humans feel from the sting of death (John 11:35). The hope that we have through Jesus is that of again seeing our loved ones who we lost in death. "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice (John 5:28)." We look forward to the day when we can see our loved ones happy, healthy, and and with restored youthful vigor.
