Obituary of Barbara Ann Adkins

Barbara Ann Adkins, 75, of Evington, VA, was promoted to glory on Friday, January 25, 2019. She loved the Lord, her family, her church family, and found great joy in being able to help and care for others. She was the wife of the late Arnold E. Adkins.

Born October 9, 1943 in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John and Velma Adkins. She was a retired personal caregiver and a member of Timberlake Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Lori A. Briggs of Radford, VA; one brother, Ron Rood and his wife, Lisa, of Big Island, VA; five grandchildren, Brandon Adkins, Kristal Counts, Whitney Gonce, Marty Adkins, Jr., and Robbie Weaver; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two sisters, and two brothers.The family will receive friends Monday, January 28, 2019 from 1-2 PM at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with Pastors Bryan Ferrell and Larry Brodie officiating. Entombment will be private in Prosperity, WVa.
