Obituary of Josephine "Jo" Seward Bennett

Josephine Seward Bennett, 88, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019.

Born January 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Bessie Seward Bennett .In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother George W. Bennett and a sister, Jessie Bennett Rush.

She is survived by a number of cousins, one very special, Martha Faye Easton (Kirk) of Charleston, SC, a loving and devoted nephew, Roger Pendergrass (Carolyn) of Brodnax, VA and niece, Jeanette Daniel of Richmond, VA along with great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Fort Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Litten and Rev. Janet Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Committal and burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria, VA at 3 P.M.
