Roy Daniel “Pop” Campbell, 75, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at UVA, Charlottesville.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Coffey Campbell; his mother, Lulu Virginia Chaplin Campbell; his father, Walter Emory Campbell; his sister, Sue Campbell and two brothers, Carl Campbell and Sonny Campbell. He is survived by his son, Wayne Campbell, wife Charity; his daughter Debbie Fenwick, husband Adam: grandsons,
Daniel Ray Campbell, Zackery Wayne Campbell (Nikki), Devan Zane Campbell (Haley), Kenneth Preston Shively; granddaughters, Emily Brett Shively (Jonathan Smith), Brittany Renae Campbell (Ben Enloe), Abigayle Gracelyn-Sue Fenwick; his brother, Kenny Wayne Campbell.
Roy served his country in the U.S. Army for 5 years as a Machine Gun Instructor. He enjoyed drag racing, fishing and his great grand babies.
Roy worked for 11 years at River Ridge Cinema as Theater Manager and then later worked as an electrician.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory, Waterlick Chapel, (434) 237-2722. Relatives and friends are welcome at the chapel on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
