Obituary of Martha Graham Lipscomb

Martha Graham Lipscomb: Martha Graham Lipscomb, 56, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017.Born May 25, 1960, she was the daughter of the late David Harvey Graham and Sarah Ellis Graham. She graduated from Radford University with an MS degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She worked for Lynchburg City Schools at LAUREL Regional Program. She is survived by her husband, Derrick Lee Lipscomb; her daughter Emily Lipscomb Slayton and her husband Patrick Slayton; her son, Hunter Graham Lipscomb; and her brother David Harvey Graham Jr. and his wife, V. Mason Hester Graham of Charlottesville, VA. A visitation will be held at Diuguid Funeral Home, 811 Wigginton Road, Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. A private burial will take place at Virginia Memorial Park, Forest, VA., prior to the church service. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Reverend William Watson officiating 11 A.M. Monday, May 22, 2017. The family will receive friends and family in the fellowship hall following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to LAUREL Regional School PTO program, 401 Monticello Avenue, Lynchburg, VA or Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, in care of Centra Health Foundation, 1920 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
