Obituary of Ronald Beverly Trent

Ronald B. Trent, 84, of Lynchburg, passed peacefully in his sleep on Thursday morning, Aug. 3rd. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ella Florine Maddox Trent. He was born Sept. 10, 1932, to the late Clarence and Coretha Trent. Ronnie was educated in the Campbell County Schools and attended Brookville High school. He had a long career as a machinist with General Electric, and later retired from Ericson. He was also a long time member of Lakewood Baptist Church, Evington. Ronnie B, as he was fondly called by his family, is also survived by his children, Susan Wood, and husband Dale, of Forest, Steven Trent and wife Vicky, Jack Trent and wife Pam, and John Trent, all of Lynchburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Joshua Campbell, and wife Nicole, Sarah Gray, and husband Phillip, Laura Poindexter, Jacqueline Weaver, and husband Paul and Jessica Trent, as well as eight great grandchildren. Allen Trent, wife Jeannette, of Morris Planes, N.J, and Malcom Trent of Lynchburg are his surviving brothers. In addition to his parents, his brother Frank C Trent, of Lynchburg, preceded Ronald in death. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8, Saturday, Aug. 5, at Diuguid Funeral Home, Timberlake. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 6, at 1pm, at Diuguid, following with burial in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
