Obituary of Patricia Elin Weitzel

Patricia E. Weitzel, 83, of Forest, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born on October 28, 1933 in St. Albans, WV, she was the daughter of Carrie E. (Haynes) Filkosky Polino and Sam Polino who she considered to be her true father. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Sophia Sylvia Filkosky Kuhn and Julia Ann Filkosky Turner and three brothers Samuel William Filkosky, Robert Wayne Filkosky, and Theodore Atley Filkosky. Surviving are her four children Pamala Elaine Weitzel Henson and her husband Norman Deane Saunders, Sabrina Ann Weitzel, Patrick Wayne Weitzel II, (Desiree "Danelle" Weitzel-Milazzo, Callie Jean Weitzel-Baker), Athena Diana Weitzel Bobbitt and her Husband "Pete" Steven Dwayne Bobbitt, (Son-in-Law Chris Neal Jones), grandchildren; Briana Marie Weitzel, Quinn Nathaniel Jones, Patrick Wayne Weitzel III, Casey Russell Bucholz, and Kylie Ranee Bucholz, Jacob Lee Bobbitt, Gavin Charles Milazzo. She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was full of life and blessed with a great sense of humor, loved by many, she had never met a stranger. She was fortunate enough to see the world; such places as Hawaii, Germany, Amsterdam, the Bahamas, and Jamaica. She thoroughly enjoyed the last years of her life with family and travel. Most recent she visited Jamaica and got the opportunity to go dune buggy riding and ziplining. She was looking forward to ziplining again… now she's off to enjoy the next adventure in heaven with her siblings. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory Waterlick Chapel from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
