Obituary of Marian Turner Lindsay

Marian T. Lindsay, 91, of Lynchburg, died November 24, 2017 at The Summit. Born March 30, 1926, in Lynchburg, Marian was a daughter of the late Frank S. and Annie Sharp Turner. She was a member of College Hill Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess and Choir Member. She was also an original member of The Ageless Wonders. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.T. "Buck" Lindsay, Jr.; her brother Frank S. Turner, her sister, Gladys E. Turner and a daughter, Brenda L. Roveta. Marian is survived by her son, William T. "Bill" Lindsay, III and his wife Audrey; grandchildren, Shane Lindsay and his wife Amanda, Brooke Stanley and her husband Brandon, and Brad Lindsay and his wife Lindsay; great grandchildren, Camden, Conner, Caleb, Carter and Callie; one nephew, Ronald E. Turner and one niece, Ann Turner. Graveside services will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. James Stevens, pastor of Indian Hill United Methodist, will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to College Hill Baptist Church, 1101 Floyd St., Lynchburg, VA 24501 or Indian Hill United Methodist Church, 1683 Oxford Furnace Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24504.
