Obituary of Gaylon Bowman Orebaugh

Gaylon Bowman Orebaugh Jr.,69, lost his courageous battle with cancer Monday December 4th. He was the son of Gaylon Orebaugh Sr. and Eva Lockridge. He grew up in Staunton and spent much of his time at his camp in Millboro. After retiring from Suntrust Bank he moved to Smith Mountain Lake where he spent his days striper fishing. He loved playing softball and spent years on the ball field. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an extremely loving father and pawpaw. Left behind to honor his life is his wife Becky, his son Jeff Orebaugh, his daughters, Cindy Lunsford, Shelley Easter and her husband Timmy, Niki Zenzen and her husband Chad. His nine grandchildren Tyler Smith, Dustin, Kayla, Dylan and Cory Conner, Maxwell, Ashby, and Jena Orebaugh, Kali Kline and his four great grandchildren. A sister Brenda Moore and husband Ronnie, a brother Johnny and wife Linda. A gathering for friends and family will be held Sunday December 10th at 2:00 p.m at Swoope Volunteer Fire Department.
