Obituary of Linda Carole Beckner

Linda Carole Beckner, 64, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born January 2, 1954 in Roanoke, she was a daughter of the late Lindsey Carlisle and Frances Beverly Brown Beckner. She was retired Manager of Weenie Stand # 2 on Timberlake Rd. and was of the Baptist faith. Linda was a special and loving Mom and Nana and a special friend to many. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Kaye McIntosh of Moneta, Susan Carter Barnes of Appomattox and Lisa Ann Windle of Lynchburg; seven brothers, Richard Robertson, Mike Robertson (Brenda), Jimmy Robertson (Diane), Buster Beckner (Deborah), Jerry Beckner, Curtis Beckner (Joanne) and David Beckner (Wanda); three sisters, Nancy Williams , Terry Beckner and Joan Beckner; four grandchildren; Cody Ennis, Amber Dove, Caty McCallum, Nate Barnes and Alexis Edwards; one great- grandchild, Olivia Ponce; one "son" that she raised from birth, Johnny Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews and her special furry friends, "Peewee" and "Rosie". The family wishes to thank her special friend Casey for his devoted friendship. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Diuguid Wiggington Road Chapel with Pastor Carroll Martin, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Richard Robertson, 818 Suburban Rd. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
